I am a 50yr old born and bred Tasmanian who fell in love with a box brownie camera at about the age of 5.

I progressed to a 135 instamatic and after starting work I then progressed to an SLR. I had a quick flirt with video which is excellent to look back on but very hard to show people what I saw at the time. I changed to digital about 6 years ago and found the ease and lack of cost of developing, and being able to see what I have taken has really opened the field of photography once again for me.

I don't specialize in any area of photography but tend to lean towards birds, scenery, waterfalls and night shots.

Photography is a hobby that I would like to share with my family and friends but taking photo's is a solo pursuit of early mornings and late nights and lonely hours spent with nature. Or if you're really lucky that one quick grab shot taken along the road.
